No. There is no account, no email, and no password. Scores are saved on your own device, which is why nothing needs an account in the first place.

Yes. The app stores all your scorecards locally on your device, so it works perfectly offline — including in basements, tunnels, and areas with no signal. Your data stays on your phone unless you choose to export it.

Up to 8 players per round. Player names are saved for auto-complete in future games, so you don't have to retype them each time. For a larger group, run one round per playing group and compare totals at the end — which is how courses send you out anyway.

Yes. When you start a new game, you choose the number of holes: 9, 18, or a custom number. The app adapts the scorecard accordingly.

The game state is saved automatically after every stroke. When you reopen the app, you can continue the game exactly where you left off.

Yes. Tap any score on the scorecard to edit it. The app recalculates totals and stats instantly after any change.

The Stats tab shows your lifetime stats: average score per hole, best round ever, total rounds played, hole-in-one count, and win rate. The Scorecards tab lists every saved round with a full breakdown.

Yes — you can attach photos to individual holes within a round. Great for capturing memorable shots, scenic holes, or embarrassing moments to review later. No competing scorecard app does this.

Both. The web app at minigolf.zone works in any modern browser on phones, tablets, and desktops with nothing to download. The Android app provides the best offline experience.

Data is stored locally on your device. There is no cloud backup at this time. If you switch phones, export your data from the Settings screen before migrating.

The main rules: count every stroke including swings that miss, add penalty strokes for out-of-bounds and lost balls, play in turn, and pick up your ball at the agreed stroke limit. Local course rules override the general ones and are usually posted at the first tee.

Count every stroke each player makes per hole and record it on the scorecard at the next tee. Add up all strokes at the end — the player with the lowest total wins. Penalty strokes are added on top of the swings you actually took.

The app uses a default maximum of 6 strokes per hole, matching the most common convention at recreational mini golf courses. Competitive play under WMF rules uses 7. You can change this in Settings before starting a game.

Par is the expected number of strokes for a hole — usually 2 or 3, with an 18-hole course typically totalling between 44 and 54. You can enter each hole's par when setting up a game, and the app shows whether each player is under, at, or over par throughout the round. Par is optional.

Yes. Any intentional swing at the ball counts, whether or not the putter makes contact. Practice swings taken deliberately away from the ball do not count.

Effectively yes. Crazy golf, adventure golf, putt putt, mini putt, minigolf and miniature golf all describe the same game with the same scoring. The differences are in course design and, at competition level, the stroke limit.

The course directory lists mini golf courses across US cities and vacation towns, with addresses, directions, and an indoor flag for rainy days. Pick your city to see every mapped course in the area.

Yes — free 9-hole and 18-hole printable scorecards with a par row, eight player rows, and a totals column. No signup and no watermark, and you can save either as a PDF from the print dialog.

Split the party into groups of four, pick a format that suits mixed ages such as a scramble or hole-by-hole match play, and award several prize categories rather than one. Budget about 15 minutes per group of four for 18 holes, plus arrival and cake time.

Roughly an hour for a group of four playing 18 holes, or about 30 minutes for 9 holes. Larger groups take proportionally longer because every player waits through more putts, which is why courses send people out in fours.
